<p>Hanwell 2-0 Lner.
This was by far the worst performance from my Lner boys this season, We all know how good Hanwell (aka Southall) are and we allowed them to play their game today, how the score stayed as low as 2-0 was down to sheer class from Shiel in-between the sticks. We went a goal down when we gave away possession on the edge of our box for an early Xmas present for their striker,
1-0 10mins.
I've never seen us be so weak collectively and the way Hanwell played against us you'd think we were 4/5 divisions below them.
We eventually got a shot on target when Thomas, with great awareness took on 2 defenders showing good strength, skill and composure with the keeper making a great save to deny us getting on level terms. I knew it wasn't going to be our day when Patrick had to be rushed off to hospital for a head injury just before half time, thankfully it was just a big bump to the head and nothing too serious. Normally I would say we were unlucky but the lack of possession meant a lack of chances. We looked completely asleep when Hanwell had possession and passed the ball around with ease, We were pulled all over the place with no one really holding there positions and when we won the ball we just gave it staight back, don't remember us making more than 2 passes without loosing the ball. Hanwell's 2nd came when we failed to press on the edge of our box allowing the Hanwell winger to much time to pick his spot to double there lead FT 2-0.
I don't mind losing but it's the manor we lost in, a very unusual Lner display. Time to dust our selfs down and learn from this one.
Motm:
Shiel Trivedi- stopped the score line from getting embarrassing pulling off save after save.
