Home league match
REMYCA will of left the match wondering how on earth their first points of the season were not obtained. Sean Walker could of put the home side ahead on 2 minutes but he could not quite get on to the end of a deadly cross into the box. Ashville Reserves took the lead on 15 minutes through an excellent free kick which left Wilson with no chance. Shortly afterwards the keeper injured his hip in a routine save which hampered the keeper for the rest of the game. Jack Stewart also missed a glorious chance before the half was out and several other chances were created too. But the score at half time remained 0-1.
The second half started brightly for REMYCA, but not long in Ashville doubles their lead. A ball over the top catching out the home teams defence with the Ashville forward finishing neatly.
REMYCA though quickly got their heads back up and the introduction of Lewis King brought pace to the forward line. And it was King who scored his second goal of the season when he beat the offside trap to comply round the keeper And finish.
Sadly the home team couldn’t get the equaliser and the Wallasey side returned to the Wirral with all 3 points.
