Sunday's game of the day saw Lesco host Sancho Rangers, the boys from Protea Glen in what was a repeat of last years league Cup semi final. On that day Lesco were victorious, three goals to nil. However since than a lot has changed and this promised to be a close encounter.

It was a high octane match from minute one with Sancho pressing high and Lesco looking to play on the break. Resilient defending by Lesco along with their lightning quick counters saw them fashion the games first chance. Essof lacked the finish. A quick short corner followed by a pin point cross allowed Lesco to create their second chance in quick succession. Sedat's header lacked any power to trouble goal keeper. Sancho responded well creating a chance of there own. Momentum shifted towards the men in green with Sancho all over Lesco forcing them into two early tactical substitutes. The defensive minded Pandor replaced Riyaad and the out of form striker, Essof was withdrawn. Without doubt Lesco were relieved to go into the break tied.

To combat Sancho Rangers high pressing, Lesco deviated from there usual system and style by employing a long ball tactic and deploying the speedy Faheem Wania uptop. The tactic payed of immediately. A long ball from Cebo found Faheem in tons of space and the Captain converted with ease. Sancho could feel hard done by this as Faheem appeared to be in an offisde position. The second goal was a replica of the first, only this time the provider was defender, Zaahid Seedat. It was by no means game over as Sancho fought back strongly only to be denied by brave keeping and a goal line clearance by Muhammed Hassan Wania, who goes by the name Beast. However Sancho would find a break through. Delano was dispossessed on the half way line and a combination of passes saw Sancho unlock the resilient Lesco defence to make it 2-1. Lesco conceding their first goal in over 200 minutes.

It was an intense last few minutes for Lesco but they managed to hold on to their small lead, and most importantly the three points.
