Good to see a 12 man strong team turn up, substitutes being a rarity for us. Especially good to see Ryan back in action. It had been 3 weeks since we last played as a team and our fitness and fluency did seem at times to suffer from this. It will be nice to get into a run of games over the next few weeks to galvanise the teams fitness and performance.

Despite the 3 week lay-off this was a game that we dominated from the outset, Jack rarely being brought into action throughout the game. We certainly appeared to have a more capable squad who moved the ball around very well at times. Despite this, most of the five goals we scored were from solo efforts rather than flowing team play. Tariq was bang on form in front of goal and scored a deserved hat-trick with the ever more dependable Jayden adding the other two. Attleborough scored a late consolation goal but we ran out deserved winners 5 – 1.

Our build up play, from the defence outwards was very good during the game, often just being a final killer pass away from getting in on goal. If we can carry this creativity into the final third we should continue to make lots of goal scoring opportunities.

Special mention to the defence of Seb, Beau and Jacob for a very solid game, snuffing out pretty much everything the opposition could offer.
