Disappointing End

<p>Our season came to a disapointing end today when we went down 4-3 at home to a strong St Edmunds team. The opening half an hour saw both teams swapping attacks until the visitors opened the scoring, bundling in from close range. Their lead lasted just three minutes. A great ball from Ben set Charlie free who produced a great finish to level things up. Half time came with the score 1-1.

<p>The second half was only two minutes old when we took the lead, the ever willing Charlie chased a seemingly lost cause. he forced a defender into a mistake and then, unselfishly, squared the ball for Jake who calmly finished. We increased our lead with one of the best individual goals you'll ever see. Zaz gave the ball to Jake when he was just inside our half, Jake then set off on a run passing several defenders before smashing the ball home from the edge of the box, brilliant goal. St Edmunds reduced our lead after 69 minutes with a header from a corner and ten minutes later they were level. George misjudged a free kick thinking it was going wide, he left it and it squeezed inside the post. Three minutes later we fell behind to a sweetly struck drive from just outside the box. The remaining ten minutes of the game saw us push hard for an equaliser but, unfortunately, time ran out on us. So another season has come to an end, a season we can look back on with a lot of pride. To finish third in what was a strong league was a really good effort, WELL DONE GUYS.
