vs Lambwath FC U23

Home friendly match

Lambwath competed their first 90 minutes of the season against the U23s. The new faces fitted in well and contributed to a comfortable result in the end. The U23s hit the front first through a tidy finish from Rowley. LFC hit back after some neat play from Coulman leading to a sweet finish from Chadwick. Coulman struck just before half time to put LFC in front at the break.

The U23s got their game together midway into the second half and deservedly levelled through a second Rowley strike. However from somewhere LFC found some additional energy in the last fifteen minutes to dominate the final phase. Strikes from Coulman and Perkins out the game to bed at 4-2.

All in all a decent first run out. However there is still work to do before the season starts to sharpen up and top up on Match fitness. The. new signings looked to be valuable additions to the squad with Coulman adding some flair, Danny Hudson adding workrate and Webster slotting in at the back.

Next up: Queens County away. Saturday 19th August 2pm at the Steve Prescott Centre.
