The first friendly game by KPJ Penang FC but sadly this is the final game because MCO be in force by government for the next two weeks due to COVID 19 case. For this friendly match, the team captain is Afif.
Game started under bright sky and clear condition. Kick off start by Optimus FC and they keep controlling the ball for most of the time gave KPJ Penang FC a hard time to block all of their attacks. Thanks to our defenders, they keep sharp all the time. Yasir who plays on the right side do the blockings without hesitation and manage to get job done. Afif use all his speed and experience to help team forward the ball as well.
Most of the time, Optimus FC manage to control the ball but they rarely to make any dangerous attack to the KPJ Penang FC side. Zul plays his role to catch and save any attempts by the opponent as well.
KPJ Penang FC try their best to send the ball either to wingman Boy and Fahmi on left and right side respectively but keep block by opponents defenders. Zam try his best to moving through but his running keep intercept by opponent.
Team manager, Jason Wong make two subs on midfield part by bringing in Ti swap with Moss and Adli swap with Fahmi to strengthen the midfield part and speed up the game.
On the last few minutes of first half, Optimus FC manage to break the duck by scoring the first goal due to chaos with the backfour and Optimus FC striker manage to slip in and shoot the goal to defeat Zul. Optimus FC succeed to score again few minutes by fast shoot from their striker make them lead by two goals. The only KPJ Penang FC attempt is by Ayen with wide shoot pass the Optimus FC goal post.
Jason make another substitute before the end of the first half by bringing in the experience player, Sam to swap with Ayen. For the second half, Jason make massive reshuffle with four subs, Allix subs with Boy, Hazwan subs with Zul, Ariff subs with Zam and Shukri subs with Yasir thus changing all area in the pitch.
For second half, KPJ Penang FC manage to control a game and give challenge to Optimus FC with a few strikes lead by Ariff, Allix and Ti. A memorable attack is by a nice but high header by Moss thanks to Allix cross. Another subs be made by bringing in fast wing Renu change with Adli.
On the one hand, Optimus FC have their oppotunity to score due to a handball by Ikmar gave them a free kick. The free kick is a nice one but manage to be catch by Hazwan who manage to read the ball. One final subs by Jason is between Moss with Boy.
Another attack on KPJ Penang FC side is well manage by fast track Afif and Nuri who guarded well the defenders. The game is quite balance by both team and by minute 60th the referee blows the whistle to end the game.
The game is quite enjoyable as to build up experience even be defeated and hopefully team will be bounce back after the MCO period end later.
