After drawing 2-2 before the Christmas break in the reverse fixture Kirkstyle came out confident of 3 points.
The early exchanges were scrappy as both sides fought for domination and it was kirkstyle who took the lead 20 minutes into the game with a contender for goal of the season, Chris Callaghan cut inside and rolled the ball to Barry Corner who took a touch and fired one in from 30 yards with the ball swerving away from the keeper who had no chance as the back of the net rippled LCCT 0-1 Kirkstyle.
The lead would only last 8 minutes though as LCCT equalised when Hamill was slow to push out and gave his man time to pick his spot for 1-1.
Kirkstyles injury worries continued as Rab McGuinness was caught on the ankle and had to leave the pitch on came Sean Farrell to make his debut.
The game was being fought in midfield and it was Thistle wide men who would have the next couple of chances with both Ian Leaker and Steven Blackstock having efforts blocked.
LCCT had a chance to take the lead just before half time with Willis beaten Hamill cleared off the line to keep it level at the interval.

The second half started the same as the first with both sides trying to create chances and Barry Foster had the next chance for Thistle with the keeper denying the hit man another goal.
LCCT took the lead 10 minutes into the 2nd half a ball to the back post and a free header LCCT 2 - 1 up.
It got worse 10 minutes later when a free kick into the box somehow found its way into the net for 3-1.
Kirkstyles heads were down but with just over 10 minutes left the players dug deep and when a free kick from Hamill was pushed out by the keeper and Ian Leaker was first to react to the loose ball and scored his 4th of the season to give Thistle a chance in the closing minutes.
And they would take that chance with 5 minutes left Robert O'Donohue was taken down in the box and Thistle had a chance to level it.
Up stepped Barry Foster to score his 10th of the season making no mistake from the spot for 3-3.
A share of the points again between the 2 sides.
