Rob Roy Fall To Late Defeat.

In a game of very few clear cut chances the boys battled hard coming from behind to bring the game to a thrilling conclusion.

We started off at a great tempo, getting at our opponents at every opportunity and closing them down superbly.

Then the rain came and it became a real struggle as our opponents started to pass the ball around really well with our boys struggling to get a foothold in the game.

After 10 minutes the visitor grab a deserved lead from a fortuitous mishit shot that ends in the back of the net. We then begin to come under immense pressure chasing shadows for 15 mins but the defence stood firm and we didn’t concede again.

Just before the half hour mark some tenacious work saw Ace get his rewards as he slotted home from a tight angle to get us back into the game perhaps against the run of play.

The second half became a much more end to end affair, however the changes bringing on the new boys only added to our lack of cohesion and panicking in the ball.

Towards the end with both teams pushing for a winner and unbeknown to us a semi final place as other results went in our favour, however it wasn’t to be as OTB grabbed a winner with 4 minutes to go.

We couldn’t fault the boys effort and everyone worked their socks off but we can be so much better in possession and when we managed to shift the ball quicker we looked really good but ultimately there wasn’t enough of that quality which might have seen us pick up a win against a very good side.

MOTM

Another MOTM performance for Nathan. The defence came under a lot of pressure at points during the game but Nathan was equal to everything thrown at him and stopped our opponents on numerous occasions. Well done Nathan. ????
