The boys delivered a commanding performance from the first whistle, securing a well-deserved place in the next round’s draw. Our control of the game was so complete at times that it resembled an attack vs defence training exercise, with wave after wave of pressure.

Despite going in four goals up at half-time, there were moments where we overcomplicated play, taking too many touches and slowing the tempo. That said, our success came when we exploited the wide areas, stretching the opposition and getting in behind with real intent.

The second half was a showcase of how we want to play: quick ball movement, excellent use of width, and relentless attacking play. We carved open the defence repeatedly, creating chance after chance and delivering quality balls into the box.

While we might have added more goals with better decision-making in the final third, the overall performance was outstanding.

This was a professional job from a group expected to win—and they delivered. Confidence will be high heading into the next week, especially with several boys getting on the scoresheet or contributing with assists.

Man of the Match

Ollie was superb throughout, finishing with two goals and an assist. He was central to much of our attacking play, showing great awareness, clever touches, and constantly stretching the opposition. A top performance.
