Bartley Reds East VS Kings Heath Warriors Colts

The match started with Kings Heath pressing very high. After a few chances, Kings Heath finally broke the deadlock with 9 minutes played with a goal from Zayn after a good corner from Maxwell.

Straight away, Kings Heath won the ball in Bartley Reds half and won a corner. Another good corner from Maxwell and another good finish from Zayn put Kings Heath 2 nil up.

Good passing by Kings Heath put more pressure on Bartley Reds and after a good run from Finlay, he cut the ball back for Dylan who slotted it in the open goal at 20 minutes. More good passing and pressing resulted in Bartley Reds giving the ball away and Dylan picked out Maxwell with a through ball and Maxwell hammered it into the back of the net. 4-0 up and only 20 minutes gone.

A few more chances came for Kings Heath and a goal which was ruled out for handball. However, Bartley Reds didn’t give up and with a lovely ball over the top, the player managed to lob the Kings Heath goalie and made it 4-1. With 2 minutes of added time in the first half, a good pass by Sam help set up Maxwell for his second.

At half time, it was 5-1.

Second half and a few substitutions were made. Bartley Reds looked the better team for 5 minutes but some good defending by Yusuf, Qasim, Keiton and Zaid denied them.

Maxwell almost scored from a free kick from about 25 yards out but it was well saved by the keeper.

Bartley Reds came close twice but another corner from Maxwell gave Zayn his hat trick at 50 minutes .

William had a good shot from 30 yards out but it was well saved.

Several shots were blocked and saved and eventually went out of play with the Barley Reds goalkeeper getting injured . Thankfully, he was ok.

Kabir also made a cracking save in the bottom corner.

Dylan passed to Finlay who hit it on target for goals number 7.

Finlay did another cutback but from outside the box and Dylan calmly finished. It was a good game but the final score was 8-1 for Kings Heath.
