A truly outstanding display, gents. Let's make it clear, we had no right to be 0-4 up within the opening half an hour, we just simply blew them away. Every player implemented the game plan to a T, and it was a pleasure to play in a team with so much control, conviction & certainty about what it was they were doing, both on and off the ball.

At 0-4 up & 30 minutes gone the game temporarily went to shit; a couple of their players took the easy option of getting themselves sent off for dissent (calling the ref a fucking cunt will tend to do the trick) rather than digging in & seeing if they could improve things.

We scored another before half-time to make it 0-5, but without a semi-organised opponent to match up against, it actually hampered our performance; therefore, in what looked on the surface to be a hugely charitable gesture, we convinced the ref to allow them to put a sub on to make it 10 v 11 for the 2nd half, ensuring that we still had an opponent with some semblance of a structured team to play against.

0-5 up at half-time with five subs champing at the bit to get on - cue perhaps the only time we'll make 5 straight changes simultaneously. Any fears over a drop in intensity with so many changes were comprehensively dispelled within seconds, as our new strike partnership combined to with a close effort followed by a goal to make it six after the restart.

After that, it's fair to say that Waterbeach didn't have any fight left in them, and we ensured that we well & truly put the boot in & filled our boots with goals at the same time. I'd love to write about all the players involved in the goals, assists and misses, but there was simply too much, so I'll just say 'Royden' and that will help you to conjure a number of varying extraordinary images and events.

MoM is hard because what got us to 0-4 was a real team effort & it seems almost a shame to highlight one player, but it's going to Ryan. We've seen he's a player with great ability, but his combination and link play with Northy, Ben, Mark & Joel was outstanding & the goals made it count. You've got 3 in one game now, Ryan - let's see if we can get you into double figures this season (no pressure though, we've still got Dan!): well done, Ryan, and well done all. Superb!

Up the Kings??!
