An immaculate Straffan Road was the venue today as Kill Celtic took on an inform Tymon Bawn in the Leinster Junior Shield.

Under the new reigns of new management, Kill lined up similarly to last weeks gritty win Vs Blessington with Maguire in for O Connor (N).

It was Kill who got off to a quick start spraying the ball across the park. Within 5 minutes they were a goal up as Power gave the ball to O Connor (L) who fired a shot from outside the box. The shot which took a wicked deflection sent the goalie the wrong way. This goal gave confidence to a side who were already playing two touch football. It wasn't long before Kill were 2 up. After some tidy play, the assist machine , Karl Maguire , received the ball deep into the Tymon Bawn half. Maguire then floated a dangerous cross into the box which the onrushing Kinsella took down expertly before rounding the keeper and tapping into the empty net. It was the impressive Kinsella again who added his second of the afternoon and Kills third. Some scrappy play lead to the ball falling to Kinsella at the back post who calmly beat two before slotting into the bottom left.

At half time and 3-0 up, Kill should have been home and hosed but some sloppy defending saw Kill conceding. This goal spurred Tymon Bawn, who are unbeaten this season, on. It wasn't long before some more terrible defending saw the game brought to 3-2.

Kill began to sit back and for a period of 10 minutes Tymon Bawn began to dominate. However just as the equaliser looked likely , kill counter attacked. Niall Devaney received the ball on the half way line before slotting Alex Lynch through on goal. Lynch who had the giant Tymon keeper in his way, delicately chipped and sealed the game.
