After a 2 week break from football, Kill were back in action as they travelled to league leaders, AIB FC. A trip to Ballymun looked daunting as AIB have been in fine form since the opening round of fixtures. Kill, under new managemen,t opted for a 4-1-4-1 formation with Liam O Connor being the legs in the middle and a combination of Cusack and Montgomery pushing on to aid Power in attack.

The break seemed to have no benefit for Kill with AIB starting the better of the 2. A muddy pitch (due to a previous game) didn't help either side with the first 20 minutes lacking any real class. AIB had the best of the chances in the first half due to defensive mix ups in the Kill back 4, hwoever the vocal Kilkelly ensued the first half ending scoreless.

The second saw an invigoarted Kill with them dominating the first ten minutes. The AIB defence, which has been excellent this season, stood firm. However around the 55th minute Kills pressure paid off after some ecellent work from Power saw the ball falling to Cusack in the box. Cusack, who finished last season in double figures, finished with aplomb as hedeftly chipped the ball over the onrushing AIB goalkeeper. 1-0 Celtic. This goal saw AIB switching to a more attacking formation which granted Kill chances on the counter attack. It was however from a counter attack of their own when AIB equalised. A neat ball was played over Niall O Connor's head which the AIB winger rushed on to. As he crossed the ball it struck the hand of O' Connor and the ref blew his whistle. Much to the dismay of the AIB line he judged it to have been outside the box. Justice was served hwoever as the resulting free kick saw a free head from an AIB man as he powered home. 1-1. The game began to open with neither side looking like they wanted to settle for a point. Tadhg Montgomery went close with a rocket shot just denied by the fingertips of the AIB keeper. Niall Devaney was brought on for the injured Montgomery and Kinsella was introduced for Lynch. This double sub seemed to inspire Celtic as they began to dominate again. Cusack was a constant threat as was the tireless Conroy. 5 minutes form the end a smartly worked Kill free saw O Connor (N) is acres of space on the left hand side. His cross was overhit but nearly looped in over the AIB goalkeeprs head. However the impressive keeper once again got his hand to it. AIB went to 10 men late on as one of their players took out the energetic Kinsella

AIB always looked dangerous on the counter but a draw was a fair result and will please both teams.

Kill will look to move up the ranks with a win against a difficult Clontarf team on Saturday
