In a thrilling friendly match held at Castle Farm Leisure Centre on 14th September 2024, Kenilworth Town Knights showcased their attacking prowess, defeating Balsall B with a convincing scoreline of 5-2. The match kicked off at 9:30 am and provided an entertaining spectacle for the players and supporters alike.
The Knights lined up in a 3-4-1 formation, featuring Joshua Thompson in goal, supported by a defensive trio of Nicholas Kearney, Finlay Muir, and Johannes Tatlow. The midfield was anchored by John O’Leary, with Caelan Chadwick and Jack Burton providing width on the flanks. However, Balsall B found their rhythm and managed to score again, narrowing the deficit to 4-2. The Knights responded well, and Jude Cooper scored a tap-in, assisted by Caelan Chadwick, restoring the three-goal cushion for the Knights.
As the match drew to a close, the Knights remained resolute in defence, with Matthias Picot-Downey making crucial saves to deny Balsall B any further goals.
