Good performance. Start with a 3-5-2 to get the players use to the formation. Gweedore only played 1 up in a 4-5-1. I argued with pat from 25mins on that we should go 4-3-3 to get more width but he was against it. We were dominating possession to be fair. On 40 minutes we switched to 4-3-3 and danny overlapped jay which opened up for him to cut inside and he scored a wonderful goal into the top corner with his left foot.
2 minutes later, mark forker scored direct from a free kick about 25 yards out to the left of the goal.
1st half even though we had all the ball we were very sloppy at times and in our own half were playing very long passes, 1 in particular from chris green was a half volley back to our keeper which gave them a corner and momentum for a few minutes. We were also very slow to play a forward pass as Barry Curran at CF made some tremendous runs for us.
2nd half we completely dominated without scoring until added time. We missed a penalty. Peter who was brilliant at left wing beat 2 men and got taken down in the box but chris green had his penalty saved.
We looked really dangerous for 20 minutes and were creating numerous chances down both wings but we made some changes then to give lads a rest.
Got a goal in injury time, a corner from Mark Forker and Maurice scored with a header
