The substitutes for KASAM FA included Mubarak Samanja, Ekot McDonald, Hassan Afeez, Uthman Abubakar, and Ogunlade Opeyemi, who would later play a role in the match.
The first half saw KASAM FA start brightly, but it was Ogundipe Olawale who made a crucial defensive clearance in the 16th minute, preventing a potential chance for Laycon FA. However, the match took a turn when Owube Emmanuel was forced off due to injury in the 22nd minute, paving the way for Mubarak Samanja to step in as goalkeeper.
As the first half drew to a close, KASAM FA found a glimmer of hope when Shotunde Opeyemi scored from close range just before the half-time whistle, giving his side a 1-0 lead. This goal came in the 45th minute and was a testament to KASAM FA's resilience.
The second half, however, proved to be a different story. Just three minutes in, a lapse in concentration from Mustapha Faruq led to a penalty for Laycon FA, which they converted to equalise in the 48th minute. The momentum shifted dramatically as Laycon FA took control of the match.

As the match approached its conclusion, Mubarak Samanja showcased his goalkeeping skills with a parry in the 85th minute, but it was not enough to turn the tide.
In the dying moments of the match, KASAM FA made their final substitution, introducing Ogunlade Opeyemi for Shotunde Opeyemi in the 88th minute.
