Insulators arrived in confident mood ahead of their game with Speldhurst but the windy conditions proved to be a leveller which Speldhurst adapted to better than the visitors

A scrappy opening to the game concluded with Speldhurst taking the lead to end 278 minutes of no goals conceeded by Insulators I'm the cup so far. The lead came from a long throw in which Insulators failed to clear and the ball was scrambled into the net The game continued to be scrappy with Insulators trying to find their rhythm but something was a little off key. They did find an equaliser from a long pass out of defense by Toby Gandell which found Harry Mascall who smartly finished and the game remained level at half time Speldhurst came out strongly in the second half and with the influential Nik Weedon limping off for Insulators the game was increasingly hard going for Insulators. Speldhurst regained the lead with a good move and finish low into the corner on 65 minutes With time running out Toby Gandell once again turned provider for Thom Roberts who headed home to level things up with 8 minutes remaining A point would be enough to secure qualification for the quarter finals for Insulators but the prospect of this was shirt lived as 60 seconds after equalising, Speldhurst scored again and with a latr penalty secured the spoils The result means next week's game against Yalding & Laddingford is a winner top's the group with Speldhurst waiting to take advantage of any slip ups
