Hard Fought 2-1 Win

<p>Bishan Park Sec...... Happiest player on the field was Loy who could crawl over and still be earlier than most of us. Kee and Joe came to support and were rewarded with playing time as Darly was not able to make it last min due to Poh being stuck at the causeway and Ben having to leave early. Maybe we should fine Poh instead of Darly. LOL.

<p>We basically controlled the 1st half as they were limited to the counter attacks. Our defence were comfortable. We were unlucky not to take the lead early in the 1st half as Loy sent in a freekick which Colin headed against the post. Jeff subsequently put the ball in but he was judged to be off side. That miss motivated us to attack even more relentlessly and Harold scored from just inside the box. Loy claimed the assist even though Harold said that he still had a lot to do. Anyway, an assist is an assist. We consolidated our lead when Jenny did any overhead kick/clearance ball into their box. He expected/hoped Pat would get his head to it but it ended up that the shortest player- Colin rose high and mighty above the defenders and goalkeeper to head the ball in. (The truth was that he did not even know he scored.)

<p>2-0 with the ending of the 1st half.

<p>Half time talk was to maintain discipline and not let our lead slip as tempers threatened to boil over in the 1st half.

<p>In the 2nd half, We had several chances to extend our lead but it was not meant to be. Roger had a goal line clearance as Dragon Knights piled on the pressure. Sherman was unfortunate to get a red card as he handled the ball outside the box to prevent a goal scoring opportunity. SK took over and not long after, conceded a goal as they broke through the middle to score. Some desperate defending ensured our 2nd win of the season.
