Hyde 1 - 1 Duki Tigers.
In a game we knew beforehand was going to be tough the lads turned up this morning prepared to work hard, move the ball quick and get stuck in.
Early in the game after a great run in off a kick in from Freddie (which we worked on in training) Cameron bagged us our opening goal ??.
After we went 1-0 up as expected Duki started to try and get in our heads which at first I must admit did work. The lads settled down towards the end of the first half with a few near misses unfortunately keeping the score at just 1-0.
The second half started and the football we was playing was up there with the best I’ve seen since I’ve joined Stu in coaching. One, two touch passing was a joy to watch and by the sounds of what I could hear from the parents from the sideline they all agreed ??.
Robbie pulled off some great saves throughout the game and the defence pulled us out of trouble on a few occasions.
Unfortunately, they managed to break us down in the last few minutes to snatch what I think is an underserved draw.
Feel like a broken record but I’m incredibly proud of all the lads this weekend and I hope you all are too!
Congratulations to Cameron and Elliot on picking up the MOTM awards but as I said at the end, all of the lads today could’ve won it for one reason or another.
We are due to play them again in a few weeks so let’s make sure we keep this high standard and get them beat next time ??
