Whilst the weather wasn't exactly tropical, at least we got a game on! Conditions started ok and we had a slowish start. The game was congested and we fell behind on 10 minutes from a close range goal, very dubious offside.
We responded well though and equalised soon after. A freekicj 20 yards out that Zak fired into the bottom corner. Quickly after a brilliant through ball from Toby saw Zak round the keeper to slot home.
Leading at the break bit we were lacking a bit of bite in midfield today. Tytherington equalised but again we came back, Zak pressing the keeper from an Austin free kick and finishing after winning the ball back. We lost a lot of 2nd balls and were passive in the middle of the pitch with the opposition having good pace up front. We ended up 4-3 down, Tytherington scoring a great long range half volley. With minutes remaining a corner was cleared, Owen fired it back in and it deflected off a defender for 4-4.
A well fought match in tricky conditions at the end. The boys didn't give up and we take a point and move on to next week. Was good to finally play after a weather extended break.
