Match Report - 1874 NORTHWICH FC U12 VIPERS - 04 Oct 2025

The Game today was against Northwich vipers who recently had a 9-1 victory and sat top of the league by goal difference.

We started really well with one two’s through the midfield and balls through Owen and Rory on the wings got us in the box quickly and we had missed chances from Zak,Ash and Toby.

Northwich started to play well through their midfield and some direct balls cut us open a bit but defensively Archie Austin and Tymon kept the attacks outside the box and Northwich resorted to ambitious shots which didn’t work and Jack as usual was playing at the top of his powers.

Northwich kept pressing and we lost our heads abit not passing to feet bunching together and we allowed Northwich to press us by not keeping our shape.

Into the 2nd half and Northwich scored 1st with a fairly soft goal with a ball through from the left.

The goal picked us up a bit and our goal kicks short to Archie were good as he had space to drive forward. Ball inside and overlaps from Tymur got balls through to Zak as the target man and we were starting to get joy.

Tymur hit the bar from 20 yards was unlucky not to put us in front.

Some more good passing down the left got the ball to Archie to came inside and on his favoured right foot put a rocket into the net for 1-1.

Spurred on with an up in tempo and play the balls from Archie and Tymur had loads of promise.

With a ball down the left inside to Rory he slotted through the defence for Zak to put us in front 2-1. And with more probing from midfield another ball through to Zak who calmly put another away for 3-1.

I missed who gave the assist for that goal so please comment for who that was.

Our quality came through today to get the win which we have learned to do the hard way, when we passed quickly with good combinations they couldn’t get near us and we look like a really good side.
