Hove Lawns FC 8 vs 3 The Long Man First

Hove Lawns turned on the style with a dominant 8-3 victory over Longman.

Lawns could have been behind but the visitors missed an early penalty which opened the door for man-of-the-match Adam Tighe to put Hove ahead with a deflected strike, but a superb free-kick pulled Longman level shortly after.

Tighe then put Hove ahead again with a fantastic left-foot strike that amazed all at Wish Park.

Luke Mitchell produced a brilliant volley to extend Lawns’ lead with another goal of high quality before substitute Jack Judd made it 4-1.

Judd headed Lawns into a commanding 5-1 lead but Longman reduced the deficit to three. Mitchell added another to his tally with a fantastic piece of skill that was then matched by the finish to make it 6-2.

It got better for Hove as Judd completed his second hat-trick of the season with another clinical finish.

Longman got another consolation goal but Matt Phillps finished with aplomb to round off an absolutely magnificent display by the men in orange.

Substitute Billy Hooke could of made it 9 for Lawns after a long range shot.
