With a much changed lineup from last week, and the sun beating down, Hove took the lead early when a delicious free-kick from Kike was headed in at the back post by Ben G. Hove held firm with Shoreham looking to utilise the left wing, and Rich made several stupendous saves to keep the lawns ahead. With Kiall and Craig continuing to trouble the defence, Hove got their second with a well taken finish from Craig for his first goal for the club. With a lead held through half time, lawns continued to press but with the heat rising, Shoreham pulled a goal back with 10 to go. Rich again came to the rescue with another fantastic save to secure the win.
Lineup: Rich;Calum, Kike, Ben G, Cocky;Chris G, Gav (Adam T '55) Matt (Ben L '65), Joe JM; Kiall (Dan '90); Craig
Man Of The Match: Rich - with a serious of great saves including several one on one's, a deserved winner
Gaffer's Thoughts: a great performance, and great attitude from all players involved including the subs, let's keep this going and on to next week, UP THE LAWNS!
Dan
