A Disappointing Loss For A Great Team Performance

<p style="margin: 0px 0px 6px; color: #1d2129; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">Lawns lost 2-0 in a hard fought game against Romans Old Boys. Lawns almost scored in the first minute when Jack was put through 1 on 1 with keeper but a defender managed to get back and prevent the shot. It was close affair for most of the first half with half chances from both sides.Adam stepping in at the last minute to go in goal for Craig who sustained a broken nose in the early hours, pulled off a great save to tip over the bar. With 2 minutes left of the first half they scored, their striker put through and unfortunately wrong footed Adam to score. However Lawns responded positively and nearly scored after kick off. The second half started as the first finished Lawns pressed for an equaliser with good chances created. However Lawns conceded the 2nd from a corner headed in at the far post. Lawns pushed on for a goal and Matt came close hitting the post from a corner. Adam made a goal line save to prevent a 3rd. Kiall replaced Josh after an hour and Stew came on for the last 10 for a jack who was injured. Lewis pushed up with 10 to go but to no avail. At the the final whistle there was clear sense of disappointment having not got a better results. Everyone was in agreement that we played as well as we could as a team and deserved much more from the game.<p style="margin: 0px 0px 6px;">MOM Lewis Moynan, a tireless performance at centre back.
