Hove started 2018 with a loss this morning in Lewes in a game that they never really looked like winning.

Despite a bright opening 10 minutes from Hove the hosts looked to have more desire to win the game despite not really being very good themselves.

Physics made use of their height advantage throughout the game and we seemed to play into their hands with balls put into the air only for them to keep coming back. It wouldn’t be inaccurate to say that we were masters of our own downfall.

Physics opened the scoring with ease on around 35 minutes and never really looked back adding two more in the latter part of the second half.

All in all another disappointing morning. We are not playing with confidence and to end the game without a shot on target is simply not good enough.

We need to pick up this win boys. We’ve made lots of changes in recent weeks but nothing seems to be working. I want to see more fight, more talking and more composure. Start doing that and I’m sure we’ll pick up

Man of the match: Difficult to pick anybody today to be honest but I thought Brian Byrne probably showed a bit more composure than most, made several interceptions and tried to play wherever possible. So he gets my vote
