So Near, Yet So Far

<p style="margin: 0px 0px 6px; color: #1d2129; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">Hove Lawns FC 2 Peacehaven DPA FC 3 S.S.F.L Trophy<p style="margin: 6px 0px; color: #1d2129; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">The Lawns came up short in a spirited display against a Peacehaven side currently sitting atop the Premiership. The lawns took the lead in the opening minutes after a dodgy back pass lead to the keeper juggling the ball before Chris G nipped in to head past him to give Hove the lead. Hove continued to take the game to Peacehaven and were rewarded with a second after some fine play lead to Chris playing a tidy pass to Craig who tucked away his third goal of the season. Peacehaven appeared to turn up after the 30 minute mark, and an extended spell of pressure lead to them getting a goal back shortly before half time. Playing into the wind 2nd half, Hove conceded an equalizer early on and were continually under the cosh for most of the half. With 10 minutes to go, Peacehaven got what turned out to be the winning goal and send the Lawns tumbling out the cup.<p style="margin: 0px 0px 6px;">Lineup: Rich; Calum, Lewis, Joe R, Joe JM (Josh '68); Chris G (Kiall '82), Ben G, Greenough, Matt P, Cocky; Craig<p style="margin: 6px 0px;">Unused Subs: Adam T, O'Malley<p style="margin: 6px 0px;">Man Of The Match: Chris G<p style="margin: 6px 0px;">Manager's Thoughts: Overall we were unlucky today, we tired in the second half, but we started really well in the first half and took the game to the opposition which is great to see. We can certainly take positive from the showing, we just need to be able to take it on further into the game. Anyways, we are back in cup action next week, so lets take those positives and go on a cup run!<p style="margin: 6px 0px;">UP THE LAWNS!
