Hoole 1sts got back to winning ways with an emphatic 2nd half performance at UCLAN sports arena, and also recorded their 2nd clean sheet on the bounce in the process. With Baxters offering very little once Hoole went 2-0 up. Hoole stepped up a gear in the 2nd half to ensure the job was done.

The away side went 1-0 up when Andrew Taylors penalty gave the away side the lead.

With Baxters trying their best to get back into the match in the first half, they did try and force the issue with a couple of chances and against a better team Hoole would have been punished. However, they put the game to bed 7 mins before half time when a Andrew Kirby free kick was nodded home by Joe Bamber.

HT – Baxters 0-2 Hoole

The 2nd half was practically one-way traffic as wave after wave of Hoole attacks resulted in chances galore. 3-0 soon arrived when after some good work from Matt Smith found Mark Tugman in the centre of the park. Who curled on in from around 5 yards outside the box into the bottom corner.

Following some good from a corner, Andrew Taylor added a 4th when a clever flick on from Dan France set Taylor free who slotted under the goalie’s legs to practically put the game to bed.

4 became 5 when Dan France, who had gone forward for a corner was on the edge of the box and slotted in to the top corner. Dan’s goal made possible by the assist of the Baxters defender.

At 5-0, Steve Nolan was introduced, who had a vital part to play in the final two goals. First of all, his quick thinking from a throw-in sent Sam Bamber on the attack, who cleverly found Joe Bamber in the box for a more simpler finish. Then, to top off his run out with a final contribution a corner was headed on by Sam Bamber, and there was Lobby from 4 yards out to put the ball over the line.

All in all, a good nights work.

Final Score – Baxters 0-7 Hoole

MOM: Dave Tynan who was introduced for the injured and boring Matthew Mawson after 8 minutes.
