A very tough game today away to Woking Veterans F.C. . Woking are a newly formed team with a plethora of ex semi professional players who turned up clearly expecting to win .
This was a game where we had to be well organised and disciplined and with a certain game plan that was set up to give us a result .
It was definitely backs against the wall for the majority of the game but we did occasionally catch them on the break especially in the second half and their keeper made a fine one on one save late on from Fobby who worked tirelessly up front as a lone striker .
The defence was solid with Dan Lucas controlling everything that came in to the box . A superb double save from Dave Minette late in the first half kept it 0-0 at half time.
The midfield worked tirelessly and made it very difficult for them to break us down.
Overall a fantastic hard working team effort against a very good footballing side who have inadvertently been placed in Division 4.
We are unlikely to have a tougher game this season so we move on to our next match vs Fleet in the cup on the 30/9/18.

Tough game of attack v defence which ended in a 0-0 draw for our 2nd league game at home v Holybourne. They stuck to their task well.
