The Ockham Match Report:

This weeks fixture was an away trip to Holybourne. With a number of players back into the squad Ockham were hopeful to continue on their winning streak. This was not to be the case and Ockham looked lethargic and unorganized. Holybourne took the initial strong hold on the game with 2 early goals. From then on Ockham were always going to be struggling. A 3rd goal came before half time and a woeful Ockham went into the break wondering whether their time would have been better spent at home. The second half saw a slight revival in Ockhams performance but percentage wise an increase of productivity of at a push 10%. The hoem team took their advantage further and with 20 minutes to go found themselves 5-0 in front. A late goal from Paul Woods saw Ockham not have to leave with an embarrassing white wash. All in all a Sunday morning to forget, we hope.

Holybourne 5 Ockham 1

An excellent team performance today against Ockham. We started the game at a high tempo and our midfield were putting in some very competitive challenges against our physical opponents . It didn't take long before we went ahead with a fine finish from Michael Heffernan. A 2nd goal soon followed after sustained pressure . The resulting corner was met with a nice header from Dan Hazel to make it 2-0. 2 further goals followed from Ben Biggar with a 20 yard strike and looped finish from Michael Heffernan to make it 4-0 at half time.

The second half continued as the first half had finished and Ben Biggar got his 2nd goal of the game with a brave 50/50 challenge and finish just getting in front of the goalkeeper to make it 5-0. The game was starting to fade out but the visitors did grab a late consolation to make it 5-1.

Overall a Really great result against physical opponents
