Credit to the lads today who worked there socks off on a pitch that probably wasn’t fit for cows.
We started well with some nice passing in midfield getting the ball out wide and getting at there defence but we conceded a freak goal early on when the wind seamed to take a harmless corner straight into a mud stricken penalty area and rolled over the line. Fair play to the lads though they seemed determined to get a equaliser with Oliver having a half chance which on a better pitch could have traveled further, his work rate was superb today hassling the defensive at every opportunity.
In the second quarter we continued to play some good football which we were rewarded for when kenzies neat pass found Aedan who toe poked it pass there keeper.
In the 3rd quarter we were well on top Freddie was putting himself about making some solid tackles, Aiden sly was hassling players and showed some great footwork down in the mosh pit(corner flag area), Charlie managed to run the length of the pitch and smash home from 10 yards to make it 2-1.
4th quarter was just as competitive just unfortunately they managed to squeeze an equaliser.
The boys never gave up and all Worked there socks off. Chippenham were a good side with some strong players but we stood up to the test and the boys should all be proud of themselves.
