After such high expectations a few sloppy mistakes cost us the game

After an okay start we decided NOT to mark at a corner and BANG 1 0 down. Potten end were a well organised team with experience and youth a nice mixture - Nolan in his 50s organising at the back and a few young turks in midfield made it hard for us to play our football

HOW EVER we didn’t exactly make it easy on our selves - the 60 yard ball doesn’t always work; we were unlucky on a few chances and then got given a very soft penalty - Thanks Ref - Nicely slotted away on 28 mins by Warren (Another goal for Him)

Half time came and our spirits were still high and expectations the same.

Some good work from Conway and Bavvo in midfield releasing Matt and Nick on a couple of occasions and we should have put the chances away.

Another solid performance from Griff in the sticks but on 60 mins a 3 foot player was allowed a free header and he took the chance with Glee - even if his celebration was a little to be desired.

4 5 1 became 4 2 4 as we were pushing for the equaliser, some nice football ensued as Dan replaced Warren (He went off to watch a dismal WATFORD). Matt Luke and Danny started to run the show and with a 3 more chances missed the final whistle came.

A disappointing result with a few good points to come out but allot of negatives to work on

Hunton Bridge at home next week, a MUST WIN for our title chances
