Home league match

In a midweek kick off, there was absolute chaos pre game when KOD decided to take his good wife out (i mean who wouldn't?) and leaving all the stuff locked in his garage. Cue greeny's frantic attempts to find a ball suitable for the game whilst trying to get an 11 on this pitch! This undoubtedly lead to our slow start to the game.

In a much changed back four (again) with Rich adams making his first start in years at left back! we were getting absolutely battered with Bull making a man of the match appearance with at least 3 top class saves to keep us in it! That said we looked dangerous going forward and managed to keep it at 1-0 untill the re-enforcement arrived.

Once Wadds arrived and we took Rich off (well played big man - a couple of vital headers there!) we looked sturdier at the back and began to play some lovely stuff, equalizing through El's bullet header from a class Ramma cross. We quickly made it two - one before half time, with Elliott setting up Sean who produced a lovely finished to make it two one.

Murta then came on in the second half for Tom so we could get a more balance look going forward and we never looked back.

Murta scoring two lovely goals and unlucky not to get his hatrick, complemented by another lovely Sean goal - the man loves the warmer weather - on fire! . Scoobs came on the really solidify it at the back and they never looked like scoring from then on in.

Overall a good game against tough opponents who had some very good players, the way we stuck together was very pleasing.

Onto a cracking Barrasford team in the final!
