Harecastle Throw Away 3 Points

<p>It was a frustrating mornings work for Harecsastgle F.C who threw away 3-1 and 4-3 leads during todays league game V Jolly Potter at Goldenhill Rec. In a game the harecastle were expected to win they took the lead in the 20th minute through Dan Frost assisted by Josh Woolhouse. 10 minutes later a determined Jolly Carter levelled. The first half as a whole lacked quality from both sides and was fairly even until Ashley Franklin lobbed the Jolly Cater keeper from 20 yards just before the break. 10 minutes after the restart Harecasatle took control of the game when Adam Wiles setup Dan Frost for his second of the game. It looked plain sailing from there for Harecastle until 5 minutes of defensive madness cost them dear. Both goals came through the defensive left side of Harecastle and a comfortable 3-1 lead became a 3-3 nightmare. To Harecastles credit they didnt completely collaspe and when man of the match Dan Frost picked up the ball just inside the Jolly Carter half, drove at the defense and drill home a superb 20 yard strike it looked as if they had got themselves out of jail. That was until with 5 minutes to go when a needless freekick was conceded on the edge of their box. The strike was was saved but Harecastle defenders weren't on their toes for the rebound and the Jolly Carter striker nipped in to make it 4-4. A disappointing result for Harecastle who now have a 2 week break and return on the 11th September V AFC in the Bill Slater League Cup. With much more difficult fixtures to come Harecastle must improve on this performance if they are to acheive this seasons objectives.
