vs AFC Jester

Home league match

<p>Harecastle were in the end comfortably beaten by league favourites AFC Jester although the scorline slightly flattered the visitors. Harecastle with only 3 subs including back up goalkeeper Gaz Lock, joint manager Mark Harry and an unwell Shaun Peake started brightly and were the better side for the opening 20 mins. On 25 mins against the run of play Jester took the lead. Harecastle battled back and on 35 mins equalised, Lee Frankin who only got off a plane back from Mexico at 6.30 this morning swung in a cross which the Jester keeper flapped at and Stuart Standeven was there to tap in his 2nd goal in 2 games since joining the club. 1-1 it stayed until half time with Harecastle shading the 1st half. The 2nd half was a different story as the lack of fit subs and players showed. It got off to a disastorous start when just a minute into the 2nd half Harecastle gave away a freekick which was converted by Jester to make it 2-1. It was 3-1 not short afterwards and Harecastle had tyo show some fight to stop being humiliated. To their credit they did and pulled one back when Lee Frankilns corner was headed in by aJester defender 3-2. As the Harecastles legs tired even more Jester rounded off the victory with 2 goals late on to give the scoreline a more comfortable look. Next up for winless Harecastle is division 3 side Plaza in the Tatters Trophy 2nd round.
