A tough day at the office today, facing one of the best sides in the district. It was always going to be a massive challenge for us. Got to give Knightswood credit where it’s due. Their speed, movement and finishing were a level above anything we’ve come up against this season.

That said, we’re incredibly proud of our boys. They never gave up, never hid, and kept battling right to the final whistle. The effort and attitude on display today summed up everything that’s good about this wee team. Even when the scoreline ran away from us, they kept supporting each other and tried to play football the right way no matter how difficult it was.

It’s been a brilliant season so far, with loads of progress made, plenty of wins under our belt, and some brilliant performances along the way. One defeat doesn’t define us. Absolutely no shame in losing against a top side like that.

We’ll take the lessons from this one, continue to work hard in training, and use it as motivation to come back stronger in the league and domestic cups. The boys should hold their heads high, we’re proud of every single one of them.

Coaches’ MotM:

A joint award today for Jay and Kaiden, as we couldn’t split them. Both boys showed real grit and determination from start to finish.

Kaiden chased every ball, worked tirelessly up front, and constantly tried to drive us forward ??

Jay, was his usual solid self at the back, up against some top forwards but never backed down and held his own ??

Next up: West Region Cup action next week away to OLM Utd from our league. A good chance to bounce back and hopefully start another wee winning run! ??
