In a commanding display of football, Greenfield Youth FC U15 Panthers triumphed over Moordown & Southbourne Youth U15 Panther with a resounding 5-0 victory at Ferndown Leisure Centre on 9 February 2025. The match kicked off at 2:00pm and saw the Panthers showcase their attacking prowess and defensive solidity throughout the encounter.

The Panthers lined up in a 4-2-1-3 formation, designed to provide a strong defensive base while allowing for fluid attacking transitions. Dylan Bingham took his place in goal, shielded by a back four consisting of Barney Budd on the right, Josh Akpagbula and Aaron Scullion in central defence, and Brian Goga Jashari on the left. Dominik Chudy and Olly Ray operated as central midfielders, tasked with controlling the tempo and linking play, while Noah Iglewski played just ahead as the attacking midfielder. Up front, Emilio Parandian and Jamie Gray flanked striker Daniel Goodson, who was expected to lead the line and convert chances.

The substitutes for the match included Nayan Heward-Mills, Ludovico Laleye, Nickolas Mieszkowski, Kian Sinclair, and Thomas Hunt, all of whom would be called upon to make an impact as the game progressed.

The scoring opened in the 11th minute when Daniel Goodson found the back of the net, setting the tone for the Panthers' dominance. Just 12 minutes later, Goodson turned provider, assisting Jamie Gray for the second goal, which further demoralised the Moordown defence.

In the 31st minute, Goodson struck again, this time with a well-placed shot following an assist from Brian Goga Jashari, extending the lead to 3-0. The Panthers were relentless, and just before half-time, Noah Iglewski added a fourth goal, courtesy of an assist from Barney Budd, leaving Moordown reeling as the teams headed into the break.

As the second half commenced, tactical substitutions were made by the Panthers, with Nayan Heward-Mills, Ludovico Laleye, and Nickolas Mieszkowski coming on for Barney Budd, Aaron Scullion, and Dominik Chudy respectively at half-time. The changes aimed to maintain the momentum and freshen up the midfield and defence.

In the early moments of the second half, Kian Sinclair replaced Olly Ray, followed shortly by Thomas Hunt coming on for Jamie Gray. The substitutions injected new energy into the team, and the Panthers continued to press for more goals.

The final goal of the match came in the 77th minute when Olly Ray, who had just been substituted off, saw his replacement Thomas Hunt assist him with a long-range strike that sailed past the Moordown goalkeeper, sealing the emphatic 5-0 victory.

Referee Mark Pepin officiated the match with a commendable performance, ensuring the game flowed smoothly and maintaining control throughout. The Panthers' victory was a testament to their teamwork, skill, and determination, as they continue to build momentum in their league campaign.
