Match Report - Bournemouth YOUTH POPPIES U14 DRAGONS - 26 Nov 2023

Playing Dragons again this time in the cup was always going to be a difficult game. Having lost to them in the league a couple of weeks ago it was an opportunity to show them what a good side we are.

A tweek in formation allowed us to be more aggressive going forward and the first half we blew them away. 3 nill up with 3 really good goals.

Tom with a first time snap shot going into the bottom corner and Noah playing with abit more freedom bagged a brace with some excellent individual play. We dealt with poppies physicality and the long balls really well with Benno, Aaron Finn and George having really good games.

Second half we Poppies came back into it with Benno making some fine stops however we had some great chances to score more but just couldnt quite finish them. All the lads played a massive pass in the win and the subs all contributed which was great to see again.

Nayan took a nasty wack on his ankle which required a trip to A@E but luckily just tissue damage.

The boys stood firm until the final whistle and we go into the semi final hat.

Massive thanks to Al for taking the reins Paul for doing a great job under pressure Matt and Kambiz for running the line. Clare for respect and all the parents for their support and cool heads.
