Today we finally got our 3rd round game under way.
We travelled to Testwood with a strong squad to play Pace who are in the top league of the tyro league so was always going to be a test.
The heavens opened on us before kick off and we decided to cancel warm up and hide under the trees while the other team continued to get drenched.
The boys started off fantastically competing all round the pitch with us winning second balls from the off. We played some wonderful football despite the conditions and blew the opposition away first half.
Our first goal had a bit of fortune about it with Jangles scoring from a corner, however our second goal was pure class with pace and precision passing, Jangles putting through Elisha with a first touch finish from 15 yards.
Elisha then scored a trade mark free kick from 25 yrds hitting underside of crossbar and in.
Second half game got much more scrappy, with the pitch getting worse and worse. The boys dug in and we're flying into tackles to keep Pace quiet. Our 4th goal was from Luke who finished well from his initial stop saved.
We then allowed pace to get back into it with two quickfire goals but again showed a great temperament to go up the other end where again Emilio this time finished second time round.
Overall a really good result and great fun.
