Report by Marvin Howey, Scarborough News Of The World

Goal Sports kept the pressure on the table-toppers the Rosette Rhino's with a powerful 8-1 win against Scalby Reserves.

Mike Brown tapped Goal Sports ahead, Mike Grayshan headed a second, before Paul Hill made it three after the half-hour.

Rhys Howell headed a Dan Pickard cross into his own net to make it 4-0 at the beginning of the second period, Then Niall Prentice added a fifth on the hour with a composed side foot pass finish, making the Giants fans wonder why he can't do this on a more regular basis?! tee hee hee.

Hill’s second, a climb at the back post higher than King Kong on his skyscraper, and a Dan Blanchard effort stretched the tally to seven, before Rich Simpson gave Scalby some consolation at 7-1.

Dan Pollard completed the scoring for a Goal Sports side, who had Hill, the colossus in outstanding form at the back, whilst Greymar also impressed with a solid target man’s display.

This result coupled with The Rosette Rhino's slipping up at the hands of Itis Itis Rovers see's the Giants slim title hopes remain. Providing they have a flawless end to the season......

Next up is the Sherburn Red Devils who visit the Storm Roofing Arena on Wednesday in what is a promotionalization 6 point battle.
