Glentoran 3-1 Ballymena

<p>On a very very cold day the Glens looked to get revenge on their 2-0 defeat at Ballymena earlier in the season. Again the Glens started slow and Ballymena took full advantage of this. On the 15th minute it was Ballymena who opened the scoring and deserved to be in the lead. Unlike the Blues match the goal did not get the team going and the half finished 1-0 to Ballymena with few chances being created by the Glens. The 2nd half started much the same with a poor game of football being played out. On the 55th minute the Glens were awarded a penalty after a deliberate handball and Jojo slotted the ball home to make it 1-1. At last the team sprung into action and beleived they could win the match. Eight minutes later paul fired in a cross and Jojo found the back of the net from it. This spurred Ballymena on and both teams started to look dangerous. The game was put out of reach when the Glens were awarded another penalty as Ross was pulled down in the box. Again Jojo stepped up and the put the ball in the opposite corner from his first penalty. The match finished 3-1 to the Glens and although it wasn't a particularly good performance, the win was well deserved. MOM was Jojo for his two cool penalties and other goal, a well deserved hat-trick.
