Early pressure and some promising shots from set pieces by Old Boys led to a well worked goal from a Tom Stone throw-in and the following link up play by old boys leading to a goal by Max Woods in the 22nd minute. This was closely followed by a strong chance by the visitors which resulted in the hitting the crossbar at close range. The Old Boys midfield dominated which led to two chances which were saved on the goaline and pushed out for a corner.

Further chances failed to hit the target with any conviction and old boys settled with pressuring the opposition into their last third.

Old boys ended the half by doubling their lead in the 40th minute with Brad Thame ensuring a Max Woods corner found the back of the net.

The second half began with a 10 minute onslaught by the home teams attack. Brad Thame has to wait just 6 minutes before finding the net again, and competed his hat-trick only two minutes later - a 13 minute Hat-trick! Old boys scored again in the 59th and 70th minute with Dan Foxwell and Rhys Spedding scoring their first of the game. Old Boys came so close to a clean sheet but allowed the visitors a consolation goal with just 20 seconds to go.

A strong Old Boys performance with the clubs first ever Cup win being well earnt, and three wins in a row.
