Home league match

The game all in the league have been waiting for.

Clash of the titans!

A warm up that saw us ready to take on anyone in front of us. A good chat pre game afterwards saw us pumped and ready!

A bit of a delay to the game when we came outside as Youth were still on the pitch pummelling Burgess Hill 9-1! We were hoping to follow suit!

A confident start from the lads saw us dominate the play, looking dangerous in attack and we snuffed out everything that came towards our goal.

We had chances to score and the quality of some of our play was phenomenal.

Really proud of the lads for the effort before and after the goal we conceded that saw us come in at half time 1-0 down.

Even still, there isn’t a lot to change and that showed with the fact that only 1 substitution was made in the first half!

Half time, the lads listened and retained focus whilst wolfing down the oranges and Jaffa cakes!

We were buzzing for the 2nd half. But it just didn’t happen for us.

There was a clear gap between their midfield and ours. Both sets were trying to attack but we didn’t seem to make the penetration that we did in the first half but they did. The longer the game went the more our confidence started to drain and it was visible. Wakehams could smell blood and they pounced on every mistake and they punished us every time.

A 5-0 drubbing, some changes to our game day management are clearly needed and also the focus of our players to work until the game is over is needed.

Our starting back 4 were superb and Oscar and Aidan’s work rate were above all others.

Aidan edged the MoM award this week ????
