FROLESWORTH United's FA Sunday Cup adventure ended in heartbreak after an agonising extra-time defeat against North Home Counties Sunday League Premier Division outfit St. Joseph’s at the Armadillo Stadium in Arlesey.

Alex Rhodes gave the Rabbits the lead on the stroke of half-time, slotting home his 15th goal of the campaign after fine work from Barnes Gladman on the right-hand side but the hosts hit back with just 18 minutes to play when Jermaine Hall was left unmarked to scuff home the equaliser.

United thought they should have been awarded a penalty in stoppage time for handball, but their protests fell on deaf ears as the game was sent into extra-time and Liam Toomey scored the winner via the aid of a deflection in the 97th minute to dash Frolesworth’s hopes of a last eight berth against New Salamis.
