Another prompt turn out from Freehouse, even before the guy putting the corner flags out! Yet again team headache selection for boss Wayne Lawton, with a strong looking bench & a new midfield combo of Dave Hounsome & Dan Deacon. Freehouse started well, Nipper running the game from the middle off the park, should have been two goals ahead inside the first five minutes... The newly named Ben Ten (Hounsome) hitting the post & missing an open goal eight yards out. but with the new midfield duo winning every battle there was soon another attack for Freehouse Aaron Vassalo put through to lobbed the keeper, who got a hand to it but it still found a way in 1-0.

Not letting up the pressure continued without the ending product but always a danger from AFC Victory as was to prove when they won a corner, slack marking left their jolly green giant defender to headed powerfully into the net, little chance for Jack Tabbner 1-1. Having controlled the game Freehouse would feel they deserved to be up at half time.

A quick turn around with same again being instruted at half time with the wind at the backs Freehouse continued to dominate Andy Shaw & Sab Choudhury linking well down the right, Vass continued to look dangerous too. The shots rained down on the AFC Victory keeper from all angles & distances.

Big Rob Kirby came on to add a bid of height & presence & battled well, his first touch being a shot that went out for a throw in though!!! Choudhury working hard against (smelly) earned a corner. After a bit of pin ball in the box the ball fell too Matthew Jenkins who hit the target from 16yards for his first for Freehouse & in six years 2-1.

AFC Victory came again but the Freehouse defence stood firm with Dave Ough seeing away everything that came his way & Mike Prior looking to join in attack every chance. On came Ben Roxburgh to put his foot in around the midfield area.

Good play from Freehouse down the right again a top cross by Shaw eludede everyone for the hard working Nathan Hickley to notch his second in two games from left midfield 3-1. Freehouse saw the game out for another three well deserved points.

Again good football was played and chances created while looking solid.

A tougher test next week in the Hampshire Cup, afternoon kick off.

One last comment - Dave Ough - miss of the season pal!!!
