Peacehaven away. One of the longest pokes of the season. Distant memories of a 5-0 thrashing suggested it could be a tricky game, but confidence seemed to be high.

With Big Ron still away sipping on sangria, it was left to the Captain and Vice to sort the team. Some see comparisons between the Salford City managers, but we're not dirty northern bastards...

A positive 4-4-2 was the formation of choice, with Kieran slotting in at right back because his bird was in the stand - which we all know makes you play an extra 10%. I think it goes without saying that she must have been impressed with Kieran's composure and deft touches. Classic.

As the game got underway, it soon became clear that we were in the driving seat. Chance after chance went begging, with them looking fairly dangerous on the counter - particularly with Nacer Chadli on the right flank.

40 mins flew by, with Duckworth screaming, Kerrin running, George moaning and Dawesy being filthy. In all seriousness, this was a pretty friendly game - with no real backchat from either side. A refreshing element in a league which contains its fair share of pikeys...

And so the deadlock was finally broken, as Kerrin hit a Hollywood ball to Duckers. As we held our breath and waited for him to hit the side netting, we saw something we'd never seen before. Duckworth squared it. As I choked on my water, our magician Ollie Monnery slid to convert. 1-0.

The lead could have been doubled before the break, but Holah missed an open goal. *However it must be said that George is great for us and he's really great*

Too many times this season we've gone in at the break dominating, said kind words to each other, then lose the second half. Everyone recognised that we hadn't even done half the job, and we had to up our game big time. Thankfully we did.

Goals then flew in, first from Kerrin after a deflected shot from Classic Jackson. The Spanish Pro that is Fran Garcia, then came off the bench and repaid us with a sublime rounding of the keeper, following liquid football between Bean, Ducks and Holah.

Ducks then grabbed the last two, first with a screamer that made us all laugh; then with a second after a sumptuous through ball from Holah.

As ever, Frow were unable to keep a clean sheet (some say due to the absence of El Capitano), and duly conceded a consolation in the final minutes. It was harsh on Stevens who made an excellent save in the first half and looked assured throughout. The back four were largely untroubled, helped by decent protection from Bean and Dawes.

Now on to next week, where we face Buxted away. We have a 100% record there in recent years, so 3 wins in 3 will do nicely. Before that, we hope to host a meeting of reconciliation between Kerrin and Duckers. Some words were exchanged and it's believed that one's face was nearly broken by the other. Nothing a table for 2 at the Wing Wah can't fix. Up the Frow.
