Forest Row was buzzing on Saturday. Not only was it football day, it was also the Christmas social known to many as Frowmas. The locals had boarded up their houses and businesses, whilst old dears wore green and white rosettes to the fete. Some even danced naked in the woods, but that's a fairly regular occurence in Forest Row.

They say revenge is best served cold, and so it was that we froze our bollocks off watching Frow wreak havoc. Buxted had dispatched us 3-0 earlier in the season, so everyone was motivated to return the favour.

Frow dominated early possession, and were eventually rewarded when Diego Holah converted a freekick. As with 50% of his goals this season, (the other from the penalty spot), his own teammates claimed an own goal. But, according to George, it was on target and so he was duly rewarded on Mitoo.

And that's how it stayed until the break, where Frow reconvened and agreed that they needed to put their chances away. Garcia responded with our second after a lovely bit of intricate play and a squared ball from white Lukaku.

With the score at 2-0, Frow took their foot off the gas and were nearly made to pay. Buxted had the better of the possession, and could have made their way back into the game. Frow needed some fresh blood, so called upon a double substitution in the shape of bodybuilder Kerrin Fort and recruitment extraordinaire (£180k+ in first year) Elliot Benton.

It made the difference as shortly after coming on, Fort showed his class and surprisingly some pace, before slotting home for the third. Gardner then completed the rout, with a clinical finish. Man of the match went to Curt Bean, who ran proceedings. We even managed to keep a clean sheet for the second game in a row, thanks to another excellent display from Stevens and the back four.

What followed in Brighton should probably stay in the tabloids, where events will undoubtedly re-surface. Fort was once again very raucous as was reserve keeper Leggett. Leitch also looked set on making a name for himself, as the youngster fought to defend the frail Fort throughout the entire evening.

Big Ron certainly relived his youth but we won't go into details out of respect for Tina. With most women over the age of 50, Northern Tom looked ready to clean up. His subtle, gentle, raspy Northern tones seemed to be doing the trick. The man is a catch.

All in all then a very pleasant evening, with various tales that will no doubt go down in folklore. Until next year. Merry Frowmas.
