vs Pheasey
Home league match
Today we knew that it wasn't going to be another tough game against last years runners up in the Prem.
We started off slowly with Pheasey playing lots of long balls, throw ins and being very direct which paid off playing the ball out to the right winger Kevin who went round the outside and poked the ball past Lee to make it 1-0.
They continued to stay on top with very direct play with Pheasey winning lots of balls from their front line and their wingers pushing very high up the pitch not allowing Sportsmans to get out. They scored the second from a corner from poor defending and a free header where he couldn't miss to make it 2-0.
We then started to play a bit better with some good football in the middle of the park where Aaron played it into a bit of space for Josh Nash who smashed the ball into the top corner from 25 yards out. Certainly a goal of the season contender. We then had another great 2 chances to makes it 3-2 with Aaron going through 1 on 1 with the keeper to slot it under him but for the keeper to make it a good save to keep it out. From a free kick a few minutes later Kingy gets a free header at the back post and heads it straight at the keeper. Pheasey didn't let up and got another goal from poor defending with the defence half stepping up allowing the striker to run through and slot in their 3rd just before half time to go in at half time 3-1.
The second half was very flat and Pheasey scored a few goals from poor defending again. They went on to win 6-1 in the end, and deserved the win.
They will be up the top of the league near the end of the season, we have a few games now against teams that have all been promoted this season so will be good to get a few more points on the board and push up the table.
