Great spirit from the boys today. Created some great chances down the wings, and unlucky not to be able to get on the end of some of the balls sent into the opponents area.
Some really interesting football played with great balls being through the middle, Harley was released a couple of times, 1 goal disallowed which would have change the game in our favour, for me wasn’t offside but we have to take the decisions of the referee, and sometimes depends who shouts loudest. The oppositions 2nd goal I did think was offside. We were definitely having the run of the play at that point. Harley constantly took the initiative and filled the gaps that he could see appearing, Zack got MOTM, but really could have gone to 2 or 3 different players. 2-0 certainly did not reflect the game. Some great challenges being put in at the back and no one backing out what was starting to get feisty. Opposition spoiled a good game by their antics at the end. Don’t think Oliver deserved a Red card, the tackle deserved a Yellow, but he only defended himself against an aggressive player that had constantly tried it on with a number of players.
Solid result for me, tough conditions, any other day would have seen us get the result.
