A quick fire start by the lads last night to best parkvilla 3-2, some superb football out from the back between Jody, Jake and Chris who fed Sean Mckeon in midfield who released a superb pass behind the Parkvilla defence for Ethan to score his 4th goal of the season after only 3 minutes.
This goal should have pushed us on but unfortunately it had the apposite effect and slowed us down, the passing was lacklustre and only encouraged the opponents to press us high and forcing us into mistakes, they then broke and 1 forward pass behind Jake and Alex allowed their winger in to score the first of his 2 goals on the night.
They soon added a 2nd from the Peno spot with the same player scoring it, the lads then showed real
Character and it was another ball From Chris Carey breaking the lines forward with a great ball
Into Sean Mckeon, Sean and Quin exchanged a 1-2 and Sean Mckeon slotted another Sublime pass behind Parkvilla for the lively Sean Coyle to level up the contest, Sean coyle was a menace to park
Villa all night.
That ended the first half, 2nd half started with ECFC on the front foot and controlling proceedings from the beginning, the whole team pressing to effect starting with coyler pressuring their keeper into a mistake and they fouled Evan from his resulting clearance, a superb delivery from the free kick won us a corner, Quin with another superb delivery on corner 3, Chris Carey ran to the front post flicked his header to the back post
And David Burke arrived and smashed the ball home for a deserved 3-2 score line to ECFC
Soon after it was nearly 4-2, some great play down our left with Gero feeding Quin; Quin dropped his shoulder and stepped inside off the wing to put Coyler
In on Goal, Coyler rounder their keeper smashed the ball towards the goal only for their keeper to clear the ball off the line.
The match was abandoned after 73 minutes due to an injury to the Parkvilla striker, hopefully we get the 3
Points as we were winning at the time and only looked increasingly likely to add to our 3-2 scoreline.
We wish the Parkvilla striker a speedy recovery.
